The JOYNAGAR GRAMIN JANABIKASH ‘O’ UNNAYAN SAMITY (JGJOUS) as a voluntary organization (VO) has managed to run DWAT-UL-HAQUE EYTEEMKHANA (orphanage), DAWAT-UL-HAQUE MADRASA, DAWAT-UL-HAQUE, Primary School, Hostel, Skill Training Center and almost all major ongoing activities at Serif Nagar areas of Mandir Bazar Block, District 24 Parganas, WB (India) on its own campus. It is expanding with kind supports from the overseas and local contributors / donors, and donations from the Hon’ble Members of Parliament of India and Members of West Bengal State’s Legislative Assembly through their respective MPlad/ MLAlad Schemes. The funding supports are badly needed for the overwhelming development projects based demands for the benefits of local community; most from different section of minorities in Indian society. The Organization has also initiated some other expansion/ new initiatives for societal developments in and around Indian part of Sundarbans.
The skill development/ upgradation for the local under privileged community, especially income generations for the women through establishing relevant vocational institute is also another priority areas of activities of the JGJOUS in recent years. The exports demand oriented handicrafts based on Indian Dry Floral Crafts & Shola Piths crafts skill developments are most promising. Besides, the skill developments on Goatary, Coconut Plantations and Cycle Van Rickshaw related income generations have huge prospects in the area. But whatever will be such trades for skill/vocational trainings, the main objectives of the Organization is to intervene all income generative and eco-friendly sector skills in the area.
